Though NDI is gaining momentum as a video and audio transport protocol, it also has the potential to become a standard for metadata and control. Over the last few months, the NDI team has been investing in this by releasing updated documentation and sharing more public metadata.
Now, a new initiative will leverage the collective inventiveness of our Connected Community to scale these developments like never before: the NDI Metadata Lab, an open call aimed at fostering and facilitating the development, testing, and publication of metadata standards processes by any individual or brand within our community of users and ecosystem of partners.
How does it work?
Any organization, developer, or user can submit a metadata proposal at ndi.video/metadata-lab. Our technical team will then review proposals and work together with the creator to test and improve on the submission. When the proposal is ready, we will publish it as an official NDI Metadata standard in our Docs & Guides section.
Talk to our team to learn more about this initiative and how we can help you turn your metadata proposal into an official public standard.
